A picture's worth a thousand words... one word is worth a million more.

Awesome is...

adjective:   inspiring awe or admiration or wonder 

Awe is... 

noun:   an overwhelming feeling of wonder or admiration 
noun:   a profound emotion inspired by a deity 
verb:   inspire awe in
 
Awe is pretty awesome. Do you really think the fact that your BFF has a crush is "awesome"? Or that new iPod? Is that "awesome"? How 'bout the new F150 in the driveway? 

Very few things we say are awesome, are really awesome. Things that are really awesome are a child being born, the complexity of the universe, God's creation all around us, and ultimately, God Himself! We've gotten so used to words like "awesome" being used in "un-awesome" context that when we're trying to describe things that really are awesome, we have no words to say. We sit there and stutter and trip over our tongue and finally say, "It's awesome, but not like normal awesome!"


Normal awesome? What the heck is normal awesome? It's an oxymoron, that's what. So often we forget the importance of words, but would it really kill you to say "That's amazing!" It's the exact same amount of letters, and just a syllable longer.

Amazing 

adjective:   inspiring awe or admiration or wonder 
adjective:   surprising greatly

Now, the word amazing has the same definition as awesome, but it also has another one that does not hold the same intensity as the first. It just seems like a better option, to me.

LOVE

Everybody talks about love. Everybody wants love. Some people to pretty unbelievable things for love. But do we really know what love it? And what do we do with the word the rest of the time? This one the dictionary got wrong, and I'd like to put my own definition of love in here. You can always look up the real definition for yourself, but I'd rather not waste space! :)

Love
verb: Putting someone else's needs above your own (or) seeking another's highest regard at your own expense.

Love it a word that requires an action. I could get into how you can't let the "butterflies in your stomach" love cloud your judgment, but that's another soap box for another day. For now, we're looking some other uses of the word. "Oh... I love this pizza!" "I love your jacket!" "I love the weather today!"

Do you really love it? Would you do anything for it? Or are you going to forget how much you "loved" it ten minutes from now? People say hate is a strong word, but then they throw love around like it's nothing. Using it casually with people (mainly in relationships between boys and girls) can become extremely confusing. "Love ya'!"

Love ya'? Or really really like ya' and that date was fun, but I've only known you for a week?

Now, don't call me a hypocrite if you see me using some of these words myself. I don't really think about it much, and I'm not saying it's a sin to misuse words. But words are very powerful things, and it's good to try save those special words for people who really deserve them.

Working working here i am aworking

Just adding snipits to anything and everything. Trying to get ideas. Hauling notebooks with me everywhere and never without a writing utensil. Is stuck on a Vampire Knight fanfiction that people are waiting for the next chapter... I feel really bad about that. XP I will have to work harder!! And maybe edit in\out a few details to make it easier. I'm waiting for an email about a clip of my book I sent to a professional reviewer. Bracing myself for lots of critique and rejection, but really excited, too! To put it in a quote "Expect the worst, but hope for the best."

It's late, and I'm tired and feel like a wrung-out dishrag! So I'm gonna go to bed! Goodnight everyone!

The Storm

Chapter 7 of The Storm is finally finished! And... Khanamei probably hates my guts for what I've done to him. But he will get a break because I have a headache and need a story that is short and requires less focus! :) I still love you, Khanamei!

Writer's Block

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh goodie! I've got writer's block!! :) Now, with as many stories and books I have going, you would think that would be impossible. But alas, it isn't. So, if anyone has any ideas to throw out there, or things they want to see in future stories, please let me know! :) I'M DESPERATE HERE!!

For some reason... I have the urge to do a story with a James... like James Bond type of James... maybe I could name him Carl. And there would be a murderer named Drew. And a little boy named... Stuart? No... How about... something. And a Truett. There must be a Truett. A black Truett. Someone have a story line??

Anywhosy, feel free to leave ideas for that story or put down your own!! :) Any requests you'd like me to write, and I might be getting a DeviantArt account under SuperNES and I'll be posting stories there. Hopefully... *crosses fingers*

First Post!!!

First post is always a happy time! :) Not the first blog I've had, but the other one was unbelievably ANNOYING!! So, I gave up. But now I'm back!!

Before I start putting up stories, I want to say a few things:

1) I write fanfiction for three different shows: X-Men: Evolution, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Vampire Knight. (X-Men: Evolution belonging to Marvel and more recently Disney XD from what I heard. Avatar: The Last Airbender belonging to Nickelodeon. And Vampire Knight belonging to Matsuri Hino.)

2) There are certain things I will not write, so please don't ask. I will not write KanamexYuki (because of incest), Yaoi of any type (because I believe homosexuality is wrong), Slash (because I believe homosexuality is wrong), and I will have a hard time writing pairings I don't like, but I will try to not be biased and do it justice!

3) These stories will be free of profanity or crude humor--I ask that your comments be the same. It's not a matter of 'I am too holy for you to say those things to me' it's a matter of 'these things bother me and I ask that you respect that and not say them around me'. Also, please don't use crap and freaking and stuff. I mean, if you feel you HAVE to, I suppose I'll get over it, but I'd prefer flipping and crud. :) It's actually funny the words you come up with when you don't swear! :)

4) If you have any story line you'd like to see, a parody of some sort, or just a story you've always thought would be great, but didn't have the time or maybe no characters to put it to, I'm sure I could work something up! So please ask!

I'm sure I have more, but it's late and they escape me!! They're probably not important anyways! So hopefully soon I'll have a fanfiction up for you to read!!
